Arrived from a 14-hour flight and Sixt had us in the car within 20 minutes. The Mercedes CLA was a luxury we appreciated, though the Sydney traffic reminder was genuinely helpful.

Sydney Airport rental pickup is usually chaos, but this was surprisingly organised. We were out in under 10 minutes and got a near-new Corolla hybrid. Cost around $286 for three days which felt fair enough.

Honestly, renting a car at Sydney Airport can be a bit of a nightmare, but Sixt made it incredibly easy for us. We arrived around 9:00 AM expecting a long wait, but there was literally no queue at the counter. The staff member was friendly and didn't push the excess reduction insurance on us, which was a relief after a long flight with the kids. We were given a near-new Kia Carnival which was perfect for our luggage. The pricing was exactly what we booked online—no hidden surprises. It was the most stress-free start to a holiday we've had in years.

Pickup ran smoothly and the contract was clean, but the domestic-terminal return area got congested fast and staff looked rushed once the morning departures wave kicked in.

We rented from Hertz at Sydney Airport for a friends' road trip down the coast. The process was pretty efficient overall. We arrived at the counter around 9 AM on a Saturday and the queue moved quickly. The staff member did ask if we wanted to upgrade our insurance, which is standard, but he backed off immediately when we said no—no hard sell at all which was a relief. We got a Toyota Corolla which was clean and ran well for the whole week. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the car had a few minor scratches that we had to point out to avoid disputes later, but the staff noted them down without any fuss. Solid experience.

We picked up our rental from Hertz at Sydney Airport around 9 AM on a Tuesday to start our honeymoon road trip. The process was relatively smooth, though the queue took about twenty minutes. The staff member at the counter did mention insurance options, but accepted our polite decline without any pressure, which we appreciated. We were given a Toyota Corolla that was clean and ran perfectly for our drive up the coast. The only reason I’m holding back a star is that the wait time was a bit longer than expected. Picking up from the domestic side saved the terminal transfer drama. Older Hyundai but it ran fine for our Blue Mountains trip. Staff were patient with our luggage Tetris.
