Picking up from the domestic side saved the terminal transfer drama. Older Hyundai but it ran fine for our Blue Mountains trip. Staff were patient with our luggage Tetris.

Arrived from a 14-hour flight and Sixt had us in the car within 20 minutes. The Mercedes CLA was a luxury we appreciated, though the Sydney traffic reminder was genuinely helpful.

The lot is easy to find, the Toyota Corolla hybrid was nearly new, and staff handled child-seat fitting faster than most airport desks manage a credit-card swipe.

Pickup ran smoothly and the contract was clean, but the domestic-terminal return area got congested fast and staff looked rushed once the morning departures wave kicked in.
