Editorial · Sixt · Istanbul Airport

Istanbul Sixt looks premium, then adds Istanbul-style intensity

The fleet quality is excellent and our automatic Peugeot 3008 was spotless, but insurance upselling came fast and loud, with staff framing the standard package as if every Bosphorus merge ends in catastrophe.

Editorial · Europcar · Istanbul Airport

Istanbul Europcar is organised despite the scale of the place

For such a sprawling airport, signage was good and paperwork took just 17 minutes, though the local rules on bridge toll transponders deserved a clearer written handout.

Editorial · Enterprise · Istanbul Airport

Istanbul Enterprise gets the job done, eventually

A 38-minute queue and a last-minute category change from compact SUV to sedan took the shine off an otherwise polite handover, especially for travellers hauling family luggage.
