The Mercedes E-Class was a genuine upgrade from the booked C-Class and the counter staff were polished professionals. But the card pre-authorisation for a 7-day rental felt aggressive — over AED 3,000 blocked, plus the Super Collision Damage Waiver at AED 80/day was offered three separate times.
