Emerald Club members skip the queue entirely. Picked a Jeep Compass and drove off in 8 minutes. Worth every cent.

The price tempted us, but the off-site shuttle and a 35-minute wait for a car that wasn't fully fueled made the savings feel marginal. You get what you pay for.

Boston traffic is brutal and Thrifty staff warned us about the tunnel tolls and downtown parking. The Nissan Versa was basic but adequate. Return process was smooth.
