Tivat itself is easy enough without a car for a short stay, but the moment you add Kotor, Budva, Lovćen, or cross-border plans, a rental starts to pay for itself. Tivat Airport pickup is usually the best move because it is convenient, competitive, and saves you negotiating local transfers before you have even started the trip. The downside is that space is tight, summer arrivals stack up quickly, and smaller desks can feel rushed. Driving around the bay is scenic rather than fast, so patience matters more than horsepower. Smooth pickup at Tivat Airport for my business trip
I rented from Budget at Tivat Airport for a quick two-day business trip to the Bay of Kotor. The process was generally very efficient. There was a short queue of about three people when I arrived, but the staff moved things along quickly.
