Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) pickup is usually the best option because supplier choice is broad, airport logistics are clean, and you can head onto motorways without wrestling CBD congestion first. Hertz city branch pickup was fine. Car was decent. But the one-way fee to the airport on return was buried in the small print. Always read the full terms in Thailand.
