The pickup was efficient enough but our Mitsubishi ASX clearly spent its life in the Queensland sun — faded interior plastics and a faint mildew smell that never quite aired out.

Tropical pickup, no drama
Cairns is small and Budget reflects that — friendly, fast, and practical. The Toyota Hilux was perfect for the dirt roads to Cape Tribulation. Agent warned us about the cassowary crossing signs, which was genuinely helpful.
