Manchester Airport Sixt — fast track through the north

Impressively quick handover for a UK airport, and the BMW 1 Series was the cleanest rental we've had in years. Deposit was chunky but the excess options were clearly explained.

Manchester Airport Enterprise — friendly northern service

Staff chatted like neighbors while processing paperwork, gave genuine route advice, and the Ford Focus was spotless. Refreshingly human interaction in a transactional industry.

Europcar at Manchester Airport — Family Trip to the Peak District

Collected a Skoda Octavia estate from Terminal 1. The M1 merge from the airport is brutal on a Friday afternoon — budget 40 minutes to reach Sheffield. Europcar charged a £30 same-store return fee, clearly stated on the booking. No surprises on deposit: £200 held, released in three days.
